He snickered again. Perhaps he had fun teasing one of the youngest Class Zero students, despite his odd opinion of them as a whole. “Training, huh?” He didn’t sound convinced, not entirely so. He wanted to know more, and he had the time to ask further questions.

“— Training alone?”

Eight knew Naghi didn’t believe him. He knew it didn’t matter, he knew it shouldn’t bug him, but it was something about the older boy’s attitude towards the matter that got to Eight, like Naghi had no reason to not believe him.

“What’s it to you, anyway?” Eight snarled.

Naghi snickered in response to Eight’s unenthusiastic reply. “I came here to see how you were doing. I might send you out on a mission, soon, so I need you to be at your best.” The martial-artist was one of the youngest of Class Zero, and so perhaps he was more affected by the war than the older students. Naghi wasn’t concerned, per se, but it didn’t hurt to check on the other’s progress.

Observing the area around him, he casually continued speaking, “— You seem to be a bit of a loner, lately. Something up with you?”

“You don’t have to patronise me.” Eight snarled. He hated it when he was addressed in anyway that implies that he needs be watched over. As for as he was concerned, he was the rock. He was the one who protects. Eight rolled his eyes, and muttered, “I’m fine.”

Naghi’s observation however caused Eight to raise a brow. Amidst everything lately, he has been rather out of loop, but he wouldn’t say he’s been a loner. Busy, maybe. The older boy’s tone however did not sound concerned, and Eight wasn’t sure what he wanted. Either way, Eight doesn’t need to give him a detailed answer. “…I’ve just been training.”

It’s cold tonight. Better warm myself up with some training.

…[looks down at the ground and shakes his head] Poor Cinque is in the middle of this…[folds arms and sighs.] Well, someone needs to at least try and find evidence, at least, look into this more. What you thought you heard isn’t really good enough, Jack.

[takes a breath and crosses his arms in front of his chest] Machina and Rem were only put in our class to spy on us and Mother…

…W-What? How does he know that? [squints and shakes his head] I wouldn’t believe Rem…Machina…well, there’s more signs that he isn’t a spy. 

Really, though, what makes Trey so sure?

“I am glad to see i am not the only one who would believe that something more happened… I asked Machina earlier but he only gave me a very basic story and from what i have put together Trey has said the same to the others…” Finishing her observation at almost a whisper. “What do you think?” She asked turning to him.

“I don’t have an opinion. I know nothing other than the fact that Trey was fatally injured.” Eight then frowns, folding his arms, “Whatever it is, it’s having a wide effect.” After he leans his head for a moment in thought, he comments, “I just hope whatever it is, it’s resolvable.”

Taking a step back she is slightly surprised to hear it. “So… you feel it too?” balling her fist she let them drop to her sides. “I thought I was the only one.”

“Machina and Trey.” Eight stares between his fellow classmates from a distance. “Something more happened during that mission. Or after.” He stated, putting it together in his head. “What did I miss?” He looks back at Rem, his expression concerned.

[Cracks neck and and spins arm to try and loosen his shoulder.]

[Lifts his head and glances around. He visibly tenses, squinting slightly and debates turning back.]

“Are you al-alright, Eight? you look um worried, stressed even…” she questioned looking around with him for visible threats.

“I don’t like the atmosphere here.” Eight bluntly states.

“Please do. I was merely just babbling. Aha So yes. How are things treating you? Well I presume?”

“As well as things go, I can’t complain.” Eight muses.
